JAMES SPARAGA<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text] PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS<\/span><\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text] Sparaga Honored by Maine Dental Association<\/span><\/p>\n June 19, 2018<\/span><\/p>\n Click here to read the original article.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text] The Honor Wall recognizes \u201cthose who have given extraordinary service to the Maine Dental Association\u201d and is displayed at the organization\u2019s headquarters in Manchester. Sparaga, along with Dr. James Helmkamp, were lauded as the Honor Wall\u2019s newest members at the Maine Dental Association\u2019s annual convention on June 9 at the Portland Marriott at Sable Oaks in South Portland.<\/p>\n Sparaga has been the chair of the MDA Peer Review Committee for several decades. Peer review serves the public and profession by providing an alternate means of achieving resolution of disputes.<\/p>\n \u201c(Dr. Sparaga) has worked tirelessly as an advocate on behalf of patients and Maine dentists to find amicable and ethical solutions to disputes,\u201d Dr. Gary Creisher, outgoing MDA Executive Board president, said.<\/p>\n Sparaga has practiced in Washington County since 1976, and is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, and a member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, along with the American Academy of Computerized Dentistry.<\/p>\n \u201cThe MDA Peer Review Council offers their years of professional experience to our members, helping to resolve differences of opinions with their patients,\u201d Sparaga said. \u201cAs committee chairman, it was my privilege to coordinate their efforts, and it was amazing to see the innovative and competent ways our committee members handled the cases.
