Needed caps on old fillings that were beginning to corrode. With modern equipment and excellent expertise, I was able to walk, be made comfortable and three hours later left with the new caps. No more waiting weeks. It is truly remarkable!

Amazing experience.
The staff at Machias Dental are very friendly, professional, and communicative. Before undergoing the comprehensive exam and cleaning, I was informed about every procedure before it took place and was able to opt out of any procedure I didn’t want performed. Furthermore, a lot of care and precision went into my cleaning, which was done in a very sterile-looking environment; no pain or plaque followed me home! One last thing: I needed my x-rays emailed to a different dentist and that was done before I left the facility.

I was greeted cordially by Mary Kay (really?) who was fine about my forgetting to bring my form. She provided another one for me to fill out. Katherine, as usual, was smiling, welcoming and interested. She carefully listened to any concerns of mine and tried to figure out the whys and wherefores. Always aware of my paranoia, she kindly reminded me to breathe at opportune moments. She always makes you feel great.

Dr. Jim Sparaga is great at pain control throughout all procedures. His work is very thorough. He and his staff continually take training in whatever procedures are able to be updated with new education. His building is a joy to be in. Rooms are well lit with relaxing views to make one feel more comfortable. All make a patient have a positive experience.

In 2008 when I advised my long time dentist and personal friend in New Hampshire that I was moving to Machias he said, Oh, I was in dental school with a man who has a practice in Machias. I said Jim Sparaga? He said, you know him? I said, I’ve met him; he is highly recommended. He said Oh Dwight he is the best, you are in good hands. As one with the dubious distinction of way too much experience as a patient I am happy to attest to the fact that he is indeed the best. Machias dental is equipped with the latest and greatest technology and the least equally important a staff that is second to none. Regular cleaning and maintenance is so vitally important and the hygienist staff is absolutely the best I have ever experienced. Dentistry today, certainly at Machias Dental is virtually painless and had such been available to me as a youngster, I would not be so experience with caps, bridges, and root canals, but then I wouldn’t be so well qualified to offer this endorsement.
